Isis, Queen of the Gods, Mistress of Magick. Isis is crafty, and wise, loving, loyal, and fierce. My favorite myth about Isis is the one where she learns the secret name of Ra. All of the gods have many names but Ra, the sun god, had a secret name. This name is the one he was given when he was born and to know this name is to have the power over creation it self! One night Isis had a dream, and in this dream she was told that she would someday have a son with the power of Ra himself. When Isis woke she knew that the only way to make this dream come true would be to know the secret name of Ra. The only problem is that Ra would never tell a soul his secret name. Isis knew then that she would have to trick the name out of Ra, but how? Ra was the most powerful of the gods, with many protectors. He also could not be harmed by any living thing that he had created, and since that was everything, Isis had some problems figuring out what to do.
