Poppets

Poppets are manikins or small dolls that represent people, animals or things. Poppets help you focus on the person that you are putting a spell on. (I must note here that many people who practice "white", or purely constructive magick will never use a poppet to represent some one else for fear that you could do that person harm with the poppet. And as the Wiccan Rede presents the "...Do what thoult will but harm none." rule and the Threefold Theory its really self-destructive to use a poppet as a voodoo doll. Just figured I'd warn you guys in case you didn't know:)

How To Make A Poppet

1. Cut a piece of felt or cloth into two equal sized squares.
2. Trace a ginger bread boy or girl pattern on each piece.
3. Cut with extra room to seam together.
4. Prepare spell ingredients to go inside such as a picture, herbs, oils ect.
5. Sew together with ink on out sides and flip inside out before you finish so you can stuff.
6. Fill with spell ingredients and stuff rest with cotton pillow stuffing or cloth scraps.
8. Add clothes and face or leave unadorned.
